GHGSat Data Quantifies Methane Emissions from Sabotaged Nord Stream Pipeline

The September 2022 sabotage of the Nord Stream pipeline caused massive methane emissions, quantified at 465,000 metric tons by GHGSat satellite data. This emission, comparable to three million cars annually, highlights the value of satellite-based greenhouse gas monitoring technologies.
